The Application of Great Britain to the Earth
Oil on canvas 10.5" x 10" 2006 I’ve always believed that the surrealist discovers the most authentic meaning in his artwork after its completion – retrospectively – rather than during conception. Although I did not know it at the time, perhaps The Application of Great Britain to the Earth subconsciously represented my desire as a young Briton to enter and ‘make my mark’ on the world art scene.
